Two years ago, Vancouver-based Sandy Huang founded Pearhaus, a DIY lash extension brand, after searching for something suited for smaller, almond-shaped eyes. Since then, Huang has built a dedicated community online by sharing behind-the-scenes content about her journey and showcasing the quality of her lash products. Lashes speak louder than words Pearhaus lashes are advertised as swim-proof, cry-proof and sweat-proof—and what better evidence is there than putting her products to the test?

Beloved doughnut and fried chicken shop Cream Pony is based in North Vancouver and, if the business’s name is any indication, things here are light and fun—just like their social media presence. The brand is owned by mother-daughter duo Erin Smith and Alix Finn, who make engaging social media content with their team. Lately, they’ve been sharing updates on their latest venture: taking over the previous Cartems Donuts space on Main Street in Vancouver.
