We are all familiar with the very first words recorded in the book of Genesis:, “In the beginning…God created.” From the very first moments of existence, Divine creativity was at work, and we are the products of that divine imagination. But more than that, as Divinely created beings we are endowed with creativity and this means that we are designed to carry on the creative abilities of our Creator.

Notes From a Sermon: James 1:17-27 “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of all he created . . . Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
