Capcom Fighting Collection Review (PC) – The Outerhaven
Put on your backward Chicago Bulls cap, break out the sweatbands, and plug in that arcade controller as we head back to the 1990s in Capcom’s latest revisiting of its past glory in order to make a bunch of cash from those of us without a Pandora Box enabled custom Arcade machine. That’s right, Capcom Fighting Collection is the newest in the long line of the old and upcoming arcade-to-home collections in a bid to scrape some cash from your wallet.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge Review
Without a doubt, in the minds of anyone around the ages of 30 to 40, one of the best Arcade games ever made was the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game by Konami, featuring a rare 4-player cabinet that kept our childhood minds captured for hours, and many quarters, at a time. With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, Tribute Games attempts to do something that only fans with programming knowledge, or a copy of OpenBOR, have been able to do since the early 1990s.
Sega Teases Mysterious "New Project", Could Be Another Mini Console
The Japanese Sega account on Twitter has cryptically teased an urgent notice about a “new project,” which could be a new Sega mini console, to be revealed on a live broadcast on June 3 at 4:00 am PST (or 7:00am EST). The tweet comes paired with a picture of a misshapen cake of a Sega Mega Drive or Genesis controller.
(Physcial) Game Review: Fragrant Story for 3DS
Today we’re discussing one of the very final 3DS games to ever release physically. That game is Fragrant Story from Squire Games. Even if they don’t have any more by the time you read this, maybe they’ll make more. Or maybe you can buy a reseller’s copy from eBay or find a used one later on. But we’re mainly here to discuss the game itself. The video below will encompass everything you need to know about the physical copy and this article will serve as everything you need to know about the game.
Hardware Review: KrzysioCarts (Flashcarts) for NES/Famicom
Let’s take a trip to Poland today! We’ve got two products from Krzysiobal and they’re flashcarts. We’ve all used flashcarts at this point. Some of us have used the brilliant ones from Krikzz. Some of us have used Chinese clones to varying results. So how do the KrzysioCarts fare in the turf wars between Krikzz and China?! Let’s find out together, shall we? Unboxing Video: Description of KrzysioCarts: I would like to offer my latest project – KrzysioCart which is a flash cart for NES & NES clones.
Game Review: Yeah Yeah Beebiss II for Switch
A game that was came from the idea of making a sequel out of a non-existent game. That’s right, today’s topic of conversation is Yeah Yeah Beebis II. What will they think of next, Polybius 2!? Alright, let’s dig into this platformer, developed by Rigg’d Games. Trailer Audio/Visual: One of the first things that I want to point out is that the game has a CRT filter on the Switch version. I thought that this was a nice touch.
Hardware Review:
So many options exist for making NES’s and SNES’s have more advanced video out options. I reached out to Retrofixes and sought to only make my systems just have a step up from what they were made with. My NES-101 (NES Jr./NES Top Loader) was taken from its lowly single cable AV port to a full-on composite port. The SNES Jr. (SNS-101/New-Style Super NES) got an RGB upgrade to its composite port. Let’s see how they fare against their original video output in comparison and the build quality too.
Hardware Review: Retro Prism Component Cable for Gamecube
Welcome back! Today’s review is effectively a part 2 to the one I had previously written about the Retro-Bit Retro Prism HD Adapter. If you missed that, it’s here. But to catch everyone up, Retro-Bit has released 2 HD devices to get your Gamecube looking good. There is an HDMI adapter and today’s product, the component cable. Let’s jump right in, I’ll try to keep it as brief and detailed as possible.
May’s Xbox Games with Gold grants Viva Piñata, Hydro Thunder and more - BrutalGamer
Not a bad month, if you missed out on some classic fan favorite titles in the Xbox catalog, including Hydro Thunder and Viva Piñata: Party Animals. It’s new to you Okay so I’m past the whole ‘these games are old as dirt’ thing. Really, I won’t mention it again. Though that’s partially because I kinda dig what Microsoft has up for free this month. Well, not completely. While I’ve never played either Yoku’s Island Express or The Inner World, they don’t look all that enrapturing. Maybe it’s me.
Big Bang Pro Wrestling (Switch) Review - BrutalGamer
You might not be all that familiar with the latest NGP title to hit the Switch, but Big Bang Pro Wrestling is a fun take on the the squared circle. Pocket wrestling At the turn of the millennium, wrestling was arguably as hot as it had ever been. For me personally, I don’t think the level of popularity rose quite as high as the Hulkamania era, but again it’s arguable. Whatever you think about that, wrestling video games were definitely hotter than ever.
Forgot PlayStation’s overpriced new service… Jailbreak instead! (with Bonus) – The Outerhaven
Back in 2002, Microsoft introduced the idea of Xbox Live, a service that would begin the push to an online digital future for gaming. In addition to paying to play online, you would get a service that rewarded you with “free” games to build up your virtual library over time. Sony followed suit, introducing PlayStation Plus, a service that pretty much did the same thing that Xbox Live would.
Hardware Review: Retro Prism HD Adapter for Gamecube
V1RACY 11 seconds ago Coming Soon, Games, Nintendo, Retro gaming, Reviews Today’s review is a long one, so I’ll do my best to keep it only with need to know facts and details. We’re going to be talking about Retro-Bit’s foray into the HDMI Gamecube adapter business. The Retro Prism HD could be a good offering for those who cannot afford the cream of the crop (GCHD MK-II).

Hardware Review: EZ Flash Omega-Definitive Edition for GBA
V1RACY 51 seconds ago GameBoy, Games, GBA, Homebrew, Jailbreaks, Nintendo, Retro gaming, Reviews Today’s review is the EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition. The GBA is a very personal handheld for me. I had a GBA that I shared with my foster mom when I was 16 or so. She would make me and my foster brother get up Saturday mornings with her and she would drive us to her weekly Weight Watchers meetings. We couldn’t stay home alone but we also couldn’t go inside with her for the hour.
Hardware Review: Wonderswan Flash Masta
V1RACY 4 hours ago Games, Homebrew, Jailbreaks, Retro gaming, Reviews I have a confession to make. Today’s review isn’t just a review. I’m sorry, but it’s way more informative than that! It’s a review and an instructional video all rolled into one! I’m sorry that I lead you here under the pretense that you would only be receiving a review on the Flash Masta for Wonderswan.
Hardware Review: 3D Printed Retro Parts from Retro Frog
V1RACY 1 week ago 3D Printing, DIY, Games, Nintendo, Retro gaming, Reviews I have been wanting to cover something like this for a long time. 3D printed parts from a small, individually owned company. Not just any 3D printed parts, mind you, but quality ones. Ones created and printed for the sole use in retro consoles and handhelds. Today, that is finally happening and I’m excited to share them with you. Now, there are a lot. So I will give a list of pros and cons for each.
Hardware Review: NeoPocket GameDrive for NGPC
V1RACY 11 seconds ago DIY, Games, Homebrew, Jailbreaks, Retro gaming, Reviews, Tech We finally have a review for a really niche product. Well…more like, it’s a product for a really niche product. Making it even more niche? Anyway, today, we’re going to discuss in depth the NeoPocket GameDrive. It’s a flashcart for the Neo Geo Pocket Color and that is tremendously exciting in today’s market. Game preservation discussion is happening in real-time.
How Much Do Good Graphics Matter for Games?
In the interactive and visual medium of games, where do good graphics rank in the scheme of things? This debate recently came to the forefront again with the release of Pokemon Legends: Arceus. When Nintendo announced the title, it generated a lot of buzz for seemingly becoming the first open-world Pokemon game ever. Later on, the news came that it would be more similar to the Monster Hunter franchise, with open-world hub areas connected to one another.
Game Review: Slow Mole for NES/Famicom
V1RACY 12 seconds ago Games, NES/SNES Classic, Nintendo, PC, Retro gaming, Reviews New homebrew games happen often enough, but also, not often enough! Today’s entry into the hombrew world is already on update 1.2 (as of the time of this writing). However, I got to not only play the game, but I also have a physical copy that has version 1.1 written onto it. I’ve got gameplay footage, I’ve got pictures, and I’ve got thoughts.
The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition (PC) Review
The King of Fighters ’98 Ultimate Match Final Edition is the latest iteration of The King of Fighters ’98 fighting game. For a game that is pushing 25 years old, to see it still being released and played in the millions is a testament to how good The King of Fighters ’98 is as a video game. However, with the changes to the netcode and a few other changes, has SNK messed with a winning formula, or have they successfully brought a classic into the modern era of fighting game eSports?

Hardware Review: SNES/N64 Platinum Collection Controllers from Retro-Bit
V1RACY December 18, 2021 Games, Nintendo, Nintendo Switch, PC, Raspberry pi, Retro gaming, Reviews, Windows Do we have some actual competitors to the 8BitDo SN30 and SN30 Pro controllers? Do we have a true contender for the best wireless N64 controller to date? Maybe we have some actual USB retro controllers worth a damn versus some controllers cranked out of a foreign factory for pennies. These are some serious questions, that require explaining.
Hardware Review: NES/FC Shells & Genesis Cases from Krikzz
V1RACY 1 min ago DIY, Games, Homebrew, Nintendo, Retro gaming, Reviews 2 Views Never before have I been so inundated with items to review! This box was chock full of fun! Check the unboxing video below for that, of course. But yeah, this review covers a lot but won’t take long at all. They all have the same build quality and the colors are repeated. This leaves me time to get all of the facts laid out on the table without having to get in the weeds about it all.
Game Review: Dusk on Switch
Today’s review is about Dusk ($19.99, David Szymanski, New Blood Games) for the Nintendo Switch. The first game in which, and I’m not embarrassed to say this, that I freaking forgot that I was writing a review about because I was so busy playing the game! “Game beaten?
Release: Despertar del Cementerio 9.01 for PSP

Our lead will be printed in bold print so that you can understand what is being said from his perspective.
Facebook possibly reversing the Oculus Quest Facebook account requirement.
It looks as if Facebook may be reversing the requirement to log into the Virtual Reality Oculus Quest headsets. In a now-deleted Tweet from Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, it was mentioned that Facebook is on making it so you can log into the Quest with an account other than your personal Facebook book account. While the Tweet was deleted, Stephen Totilo from Axios (and formerly Kotaku) managed to capture the text of the tweet and reposted it. Deleted prior tweet.

Hardware Review: FXPAK Pro
V1RACY 14 mins ago Games, Homebrew, Jailbreaks, Nintendo, Retro gaming, Reviews So recently, I reviewed the Super Everdrive from Krikzz. What a treat that thing was. Hardware Review: GB Operator from Epilogue
V1RACY 1 min ago Apple, Games, GBA, Nintendo, PC, Retro gaming, Reviews, Tech, Windows Today’s review is an interesting one. As of the time of writing this, there aren’t loads of people covering this product. The product in question is the GB Operator from Epilogue. I know, Epilogue sounds an awful like Analogue, but they’re not exactly in the same wheelhouse. So, instead of assuming they’re trying to copy something, just give them the benefit of the doubt.

So today, I’ll share with you my experience using the Super Everdrive X6. We’ll talk about its features, pros, cons, and if I think you should get one. I primarily bought it for my Japanese Super Famicom I got when I attended E3 a few years back.

8BitDo SN30 Pro 2 Switch/PC/Mobile controller review
To be honest, there are not that many good options when it comes to third-party controllers that work with multiple systems. Back in the early days (I’m talking the PlayStation/PlayStation 2 era) there were a lot of cheap options available when it came to third party controllers, but with more modern generations, there is just not that many companies trying to make something for any of the consoles, let along make something that can work across a few different types.

How To: Install Tonyhax for PS1
V1RACY 2 mins ago DIY, Games, Homebrew, Jailbreaks, Playstation, Retro gaming, Tutorial & Guides It’s been a long time coming for this. It’s primarily because we knew there would be more updates and improvements. We wanted to wait for the “it’s as good as it’s going to be”, but the creator of Tonyhax just kept working. And then, out of left field, came FreePSXBoot. So then Tonyhax got updated to support that! It’s crazy stuff and it means there are simply too many variables to consider.

NeoGeo Pocket Color Selection Vol.1 (Switch) Review - Brutal Gamer
Like a virtual library all wrapped up in one set. SNK’s NeoGeo Pocket Switch ports come together with some all-new additions for a 10 game pack. All in one If you haven’t been paying attention, the Nintendo Switch has been on the receiving end of some pretty great ports from the NeoGeo Pocket. SNK’s handheld console from the late 90s/early 2k’s, the NGP was loaded with great handheld titles. You’re forgiven if you haven’t really heard much about it though.
