SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Union workers consisting of hospital service workers across the University of California health care system did not strike as planned on Thursday after a tentative agreement was reached between the two parties. According to a representative for the University of California, UC and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union came to a tentative agreement early Thursday morning, shortly before the open-ended strike was expected to begin.
