Saints Under 15s after beating Bath (Image: Richard Walsh) For the third match running, Taunton St Andrews First XI were involved in a nail-biting finish, and unfortunately, they came off second best again. On Saturday, the Saints Firsts travelled to Clevedon where, after waiting until 4.30 pm for the weather to clear, they ended up playing a 20-over match.

The 50s First XI won their three games in May by the most comfortable of margins. Runs have been shared about but Mark Sage scored a 52 not out against Dorset while Mark Tilley scored 97 against Hampshire. The 50s Second XI are similarly undefeated in May with them winning two close games.

Sophie Luff (Image: Albert Goodman ) Somerset have made a flying start to the 2026 Women’s Vitality Blast and, after five games, share top spot with Surrey, who they beat at The Oval on Sunday. Skipper Sophie Luff played a major part in that success, hitting an unbeaten 82, bringing her total to 244 – making her the leading run-scorer in this year’s T20. This is Sophie’s 17th season playing for the county, and she reckons that she is now playing some of her best-ever cricket.
