Now the Boks have a precious few days to turn things around. I assumed, incorrectly as it turned out, that the selection of Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Manie Libbok, two running and passing flyhalves, indicated that the Boks were not going to rely, or even over rely, on scrum and aerial dominance.

Hapless Sharks were lucky to get zero against the All Blacks

His very apt and wry summation came to mind after watching the All Blacks run amok against the recently rebaptised Sharks Rugby Club scoring 54 unanswered points.

Opinion: All Blacks and Springboks hardly conquered

Although both the ABs and the Boks duly won, they hardly conquered. ALSO READ | Are the All Blacks still the Springboks’ main rivals? In fact, the score in the Stormers game was a tie until the 65th minute, before the ABs drew clear.
