Brand systems weren’t built for today’s business operating models
RPM is an independent creative agency based in London. We connect brands in culture and commerce – creating meaning and shaping consumer and shopper behaviour, through experiences that close the gap between cultural demand and conversion. Through research specialist, Canvas 8, RPM interviewed senior marketers from FMCG, hospitality, tech and entertainment sectors, to understand how effectively brand systems today are keeping pace with business operating models. 1.
Gibson Thornley completes low-tech sixth form centre for north London academy
The project utilises exposed structure, natural materials and ventilation to create a ‘simple, clear and durable’ building. Close collaboration with the school over the course of the project saw the brief being refined to build less but better. By identifying latency within the school’s estate, a third of the programme was able to be delivered in underused spaces, which drove down the project’s cost and carbon, with the rest housed in a new extension.

Spying, Southampton and economic pressure cooker of the ‘richest match in football’
In elite football, competitive advantage is pursued relentlessly. Big clubs invest heavily in performance data and tactical analysis in the pursuit of marginal gains. Yet that desperate search for gains has now led to one club, Southampton FC, suffering an enormous loss. Southampton admitted to spying on their opponent’s training session and were charged by the English Football League. They have been expelled from a match that could have seen them win promotion to the Premier League.
Empowerment or exclusion? Navigating the EEOC’s new ‘strict neutrality’ mandate
Equity-based workplace strategies are on the chopping block. Companies that don’t adhere to President Trump’s “strict neutrality” mandate may find themselves in serious legal trouble. That is precisely the situation Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast, Inc. is facing now. The New Hampshire Coca-Cola bottler and distributor was hit with a federal lawsuit by the EEOC on Feb. 17, 2026, for sex discrimination.

Beyond the Perimeter: Authorization That Moves With Your APIs
Authenticated AI agents operate inside your environment—not outside. To keep pace with machine-speed threats, authorization needs to shift from static gates to real-time enforcement. Continuous, policy-driven enforcement is non-negotiable for API security today. In Part 2 of this series, we exposed the structural weaknesses Agentic AI amplifies—overpriveleged credentials, defenses built for human speed, and static trust models that collapse at machine velocity.
5 Inconvenient Truths: How Agentic AI Breaks Your Security Playbook
Autonomous agents expose structural weaknesses in today’s identity and access models. Controls built for human behavior cannot contain machine-speed exploitation. Static credentials and overprivileged access demand an authorization redesign. In Part 1 of the “Great Acceleration of Risk” series, we examined how authenticated AI agents are reshaping the threat model from the inside out. Now let’s look at five Agentic AI truths that deserve a much closer look.
Your AI Is A Security Risk
Agentic AI is ushering in a “Great Acceleration of Risk” as autonomous systems operate with machine speed and implicit trust. As agents take on tasks traditionally completed by humans, legacy controls like Web Application Firewalls and static permissions become architectural vulnerabilities.
What ‘Peak Calorie’ Means for U.S. Food and Beverage Growth
What’s the outlook for growth in the U.S. food and beverage (F&B) industry? Sifting through the tea leaves, one sign of the future merits a closer read. Caloric consumption is flattening. This seems counterintuitive given historical norms. The 1990s saw a steep uptick in caloric consumption due to a confluence of factors, including population growth, increased convenience and an expanding foodservice industry.

‘NFL’s Croke Park experience proves price caps are no panacea for ticketing issues’
As a professor of applied sport finance, with over two decades of experience in academia and consultancy, I have closely observed the intricate dynamics of the sports industry. My work has often focused on the economic forces that shape this sector, and it is with this perspective that I view the current governmental deliberation on introducing price caps on ticket resale markets.
Ticket resale caps are a bipartisan disaster hurting fans
Wimbledon captivated global audiences this summer with record-breaking digital viewership, but behind the scenes, the annual tennis event is facing a quiet threat. It comes not from a rival tournament, but from a government policy that could unravel its financial foundation: ticket resale price caps. The United Kingdom is weighing legislation that would restrict the resale of event tickets above face value. On its face, that sounds like a fan-friendly idea.

Editor's note: L.E.K.'s Rob Wilson recently participated in a BBC online discussion about convenience stores. The article below reflects his perspectives from that discussion. If you’ve ever driven across America, odds are you’ve pulled into a convenience store (c-store) to grab a coffee, energy drink, pack of gum, cigarettes, or maybe to fill up on gas.

Tax-aware investment strategies are more important than ever for aligning long-term financial goals with evolving tax policy.

Look, there is perhaps no other place that has been hit harder by the decline of the steel industry than Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas. And to be clear, I’m as Pittsburgh as it gets. I was born and raised there. I got my engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh and my MBA from Carnegie Mellon. I built my business there. Our football team, and the best football team on the planet, is called the Steelers. So I get it.
I wrote a book! (seriously!)
I promise you, it’s not an April Fool’s joke! I sat down and wrote an actual book because I feel that the topic is so important. I mean, have you ever seen the show The Walking Dead? Have you noticed how the zombies just wander around aimlessely with no destination in mind (they are deal after all) and how they get thrown off their path very easily? Well, I’ve seen may people do just that, but in real life. I call them the walking broke.

The only thing that kills me as much as watching someone wasting their money, is watching them waste their time. See, if you go out and waste a dollar, you can work hard and make it back 10 times. But everyday that you waste is a day that you can never get back. Here are a few things you need to know about your time, if you truly want to use it to build wealth: Being “busy” is not the same as being productive.

Brexit. Hopefully the first time you heard that word wasn’t last Friday when the Dow Jones tanked by 600 points and it suddenly dawned on you that your 401k was dropping too.
