A cathedral tour will offer insights into its historical construction by Norman masons this month. Taking place on Friday, September 12 and Thursday, September 18, the tour will delve into how the cathedral's ground plan was devised amidst Norwich-s Saxon beginnings, as well as the importance of its precise layout for Benedictine monks. The cathedral, said to be one of the most intact Romanesque churches in all of Europe, was largely built by masons from Normandy, like most of the original monks.
