I am deeply concerned about the integrity of our political leadership, and it's for this reason that I am calling on Parliament to initiate a vote of no confidence in Keir Starmer. Recently, revelations have surfaced about Starmer's knowledge of Peter Mandelson's association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted paedophile. Starmer's failure to disclose what he knew about this troubling friendship raises significant questions about his honesty and capacity to lead.

Abstract The New Commonwealth emerged from the first wave of decolonisation in South Asia in the late 1940s. The seminal moment occurred with the signing of the 1949 London Declaration that allowed republican India to remain a Commonwealth member. However, India, Pakistan and Ceylon were divided at the first two Prime Ministers’ Meeting after independence and made no attempt to unite in opposition to the Old ‘white’ Commonwealth members.

The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has spent two days in Pyongyang, meeting with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, and signing a “comprehensive strategic partnership”. Few details are being released about this deal and its expected ramifications for rearming Russian forces stretched by the Ukraine war. But the Kremlin said the agreement would mean each country would come to the aid of the other if attacked.
