The warm summer weather continues Friday with sunshine and highs in the low 80s. Temperatures continue to warm up this weekend with highs reaching near 90 degrees by Sunday. If you have plans outside, stay hydrated and have shade available; take breaks when needed. The heat continues into Monday, with the high reaching into the 90s by the afternoon. Temperatures cool off slightly Tuesday, and continue to drop to the mid-70s by Wednesday.

A sunny and warm weekend ahead

Today wraps up the work week with more pleasant sunny weather in the low 80s. This pattern continues this weekend, but the temperatures warm up. Highs get to near 90 degrees by Sunday and that continues into the first half of next week. Skies remain sunny so cloud cover won't be around to give us any natural shade relief.

The heat is making its way back to the upper midwest, and we will certainly feel it this weekend. Going into the weekend a south wind kicks in, bringing in the hot and humid air into the region. Saturday Wind Temperatures will soar this weekend with highs in the 90s and high dew points for a sticky feeling in the air. If you plan to be outdoors make sure to drink plenty of water and stay in the shade whenever possible.
