Predictive Modeling of Dormant Breast Cancer Recurrence Associated with Anxiety and Depression in SEER-Medicare Patients Using Deep Learning
You are already at the latest version Importance. Up to 50% of patients with localized breast cancer (BC) continue to recur after initial treatment for more than 20 years. Recurrent cancer is not curable, and the goal of therapy is the prolongation of life. Many variables, including adrenergic stimuli associated with anxiety and/or depression (anxiety/depression), have been linked to recurrence.

Correction: Wieder, R.; Adam, N. Racial Disparities in Breast Cancer Treatments and Adverse Events in the SEER-Medicare Data. Cancers 2023, 15, 4333
Newly Added Appendix A and Acknowledgements We obtained the data we analyzed in this manuscript [1] from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) SEER-Medicare (S-M) program under dual review with the understanding that S-M must review and approve publications using their data. We unintentionally overlooked having the manuscript reviewed by NCI before its publication. This Appendix A was necessary because the NCH file cannot be classified correctly as a distinct service venue.

Racial Disparities in Breast Cancer Treatments and Adverse Events in the SEER-Medicare Data
1. Introduction The median survival with breast cancer (BC) is shorter in African American (AA) patients than in white (W) patients, despite a lower incidence of the disease in AAs [1,2,3,4]. There are well-documented social factors that affect survival, including disparities in screening, diagnosis, and treatment [5,6]. Biologic differences in the molecular characteristics of the cancers also contribute to disparities between the two populations [7,8].
Awakening of Dormant Breast Cancer Cells in the Bone Marrow
Abstract : Simple Summary Breast cancer cells travel via the bloodstream to the bone before the cancer is detectable in the breast. These disseminated cells are resistant to adjuvant chemotherapy and hormone therapy administered for the very purpose of eliminating them. They recur steadily for more than 20 years, resulting in incurable diseases.

Philadelphia Sugary Soda Tax Has Beverage Industry Running Scared
The Domino Theory, which originated during the Vietnam war era, holds that in an ongoing campaign, defeat in one theater of action will lead to defeat in a second, and then a third, and so on until the enemy has thoroughly triumphed. Based on the history of Southeast Asia since the end of the Vietnam war, the Domino Theory was basically bunk, and the sugar and soft drink industries in the United States fervently hope that it will prove dead wrong in the Soda Wars as well.
