Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
I got my start thanks to a fellowship from AAAS (publishers of Science) to spend a summer at Community Radio for Northern Colorado (KUNC).
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I still write occasional letters to long-time friends on a manual typewriter.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Reading from a non-computer/non-device... or listening to radio/podcasts.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most dangerous misconception is that *a* scientist can speak for science.
