FARGO — Fargo Cass Public Health is once again looking for a new health officer, a little over a year after filling the position. Dr. Jessie Lindemann said at the Fargo Board of Health meeting on Friday, July 10, she will not reapply. She began the job in April 2025, replacing Dr. Tracie Newman, who left abruptly after budget cuts prompted a cut in hours for the position.

Jul. 8—MEDORA, N.D. — Visitors to the new Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in Medora can take in a piece of history planted by the 26th president — and given new life by a North Dakota custom furniture maker. Grain Designs of Fargo was chosen to make more than a half dozen furniture and exhibit pieces for the library using wood from a more than 120-year-old copper beech tree that once stood at Sagamore Hill, Roosevelt's family estate in Oyster Bay, New York.
