Most folks have their favorite style of pizza such as New York, Neapolitan, Detroit or one of my personal favorites, Chicago style. This style of deep-dish pizza was first created in 1943 at Pizzeria Uno in Chicago by founders Ike Sewell and Richard Riccardo. The original recipe evolved over decades, but the thick, hearty style of pizza remains much the same. This is my version of a Chicago-style deep-dish pizza with Italian sausage and pepperoni. Feel free to add whatever toppings you like.
