Minnesota's top high school swimmers in the Class of 2026 believe in sticking together. Faith Lamah of St. Michael and Libbi McCarthy of Edina, the No. 1 and No. 2-ranked girls, respectively, are headed to the Gophers. Lamah, bypassing high school, competes for Edina Swim Club while McCarthy leads the Hornets squad. Libbi McCarthy of Edina will join her two older siblings as a swimmer for the Gophers.

Providence Academy's Maddyn Greenway added to USA Basketball's women's national 19U team

By Ron Haggstrom Providence Academy senior Maddyn Greenway was added to the 2025 USA basketball women's under-19 national team roster on Monday. Greenway, a 5-8 guard, was one of 25 players to compete for the squad during the trials in mid June. She was previously a finalist for the 2023 under-16 national team and attended the trials for the 2024 under-17 squad. Greenway replaces Florida Gators guard and Hopkins graduate Alivia McGill on the squad.

All-Minnesota Sports Awards athletes, coaches, teams of the year

The list of the 2025 All-Minnesota Sports Awards recipients is inclusive of athletes, coaches and programs representing the metro and greater Minnesota. Female Athlete of the Year Greenway ended the 2024-2025 school year with three state championships in three different sports while setting records along the way. In the fall, Greenway scored 42 goals to lead Providence Academy to the Class 1A girls soccer state championship.
