Ronald E. Yates is a multi-award-winning author of historical fiction and action/adventure novels, including the popular and highly-acclaimed Finding Billy Battles trilogy. His extraordinarily accurate books have captivated fans around the world who applaud his ability to blend fact and fiction. Ron is a former foreign correspondent for the Chicago Tribune and Professor Emeritus of Journalism at the University of Illinois where he was also the Dean of the College of Media.

It’s time to evaluate how New York City’s first communist mayor is performing his job as commissar of the Big Apple’s five boroughs. If I were grading Zoran Mamdani’s first six and a half months in office, I would give him a D-minus. I cannot honestly say he has failed outright, but he appears to be heading toward disaster with little standing in his way.
