Many are familiar with Charles Schulz’ Charlie Brown of the Peanuts comics — a pouty, young boy who navigates taking care of his dog Snoopy and is on the receiving end of his older sister Lucy’s sibling banter. The archetype of an average human, Charlie Brown is familiar with losing rather than winning and stands as Schulz' alter ego. First seen on Broadway in 1960, the two-part musical is broken into a series of vignettes following a day in the life of Charlie Brown and some of the Peanuts crew.

Hailing from Denali, Alaska, painter Sarah Crowley captured intricate, high-desert details of northern Arizona’s three culturally significant national monuments on brush and paper during a two-week artist residency program at Wupatki National Monument. During her stay from Jan. 24 to Feb. 8, Crowley used bright colors and sharp lines to create six paintings, two of each monument, incorporating natural history and regional culture into her work.
