A teenager was sentenced for sparking a shootout that led to the death of an 8-year-old girl who was killed by gunfire from responding police officers during a high school football game in Delaware County three years ago. On Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, Angelo "AJ" Ford, 18, was sentenced to 14 to 28 years in prison and eight years probation. In July, a judge found Ford guilty of attempted murder and aggravated assault.

A teenager was found guilty of sparking a shootout that led to the death of an 8-year-old girl who was killed by gunfire from responding police officers during a high school football game in Delaware County. A judge found 18-year-old Angelo “AJ” Ford guilty of attempted murder and aggravated assault on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Investigators said Ford was involved in a fight with rival teen gang members outside of a high school football game in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania, back on Aug. 27, 2021.
