The alarming prevalence of new physical [1, 2], cognitive [3, 4], and mental health [5, 6] disabilities among ICU survivors underscores the urgent need for effective interventions to improve long-term adverse outcomes, such as poor health-related quality of life, rehospitalizations, and mortality.

Highlights • During the COVID-19 Pandemic: • Depressive symptoms increased significantly among puerperal women. • There is an increase in sexual dysfunction in puerperal women. • The greater the depressive symptoms in the puerperium, the worse the sexual function. Quality assessment of prevalence studies: a systematic review

Highlights • We systematically reviewed tools used to assess risk of bias of prevalence studies. • We identified 30 tools; 8 of them were specifically designed for prevalence studies • There was a great variability among items assessed in each tool. • Not all tools assessed all domains and there was overlap among items in some tool. • We provide a comprehensive set of items useful to appraise prevalence studies.
