GCN5-mediated H3K27cr regulates hair follicle stem cell migration and hair follicle development through KRT80 activation
Abstract The biological functions and molecular mechanisms of histone crotonylation (Kcr) during hair follicle morphogenesis remain largely unexplored. Here, we sought to elucidate these aspects using skin samples from cashmere goat fetuses at key stages of hair follicle morphogenesis; dynamic changes in histone 3 lysine 27 crotonylation (H3K27cr) were profiled using CUT&Tag sequencing.
Orthotopic liver xenotransplantation from gene-modified pig to decedent human
|
Abstract Xenotransplantation offers a critical solution to global organ shortages. Recent reports show that genetically engineered porcine livers can provide auxiliary metabolic support in human recipients and non-human primates. However, orthotopic pig-to-human liver xenotransplantation remained a challenge owing to the liver immunological and physiological complexity. Here we report the orthotopic pig-to-human liver xenotransplantation in a brain-deceased individual.

ContrastQA: A label-guided graph contrastive learning-based approach for protein complex structure quality assessment
1 INTRODUCTION Protein–protein complexes have emerged as central components in elucidating biological functions and cellular processes. With the advent of deep learning-based prediction methods such as AlphaFold3 (Abramson et al., 2024) and RoseTTAFold All-Atom (Krishna et al., 2024), the precision of protein complex structure prediction has approached that of traditional conformational sampling approaches.

Interfacial film evolution and corrosion protection of carbon steel by Ginkgo biloba leaf extract in simulated concrete pore solution
Ginkgo biloba leaf extract was evaluated as a natural corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel in a simulated concrete pore solution containing 3.5 wt% NaCl and saturated Ca(OH) at pH 13.5. Open-circuit potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarisation were used to clarify concentration-dependent interfacial evolution. The extract showed a distinct concentration effect.
SAKCL: a deep neural network test data selection method based on self-attention and K-means clustering
Abstract DNNs, similar to traditional software systems, may exhibit defects that can lead to serious consequences, especially in safety-critical scenarios. As a result, the ability to detect such defects reliably has become increasingly important, where the quality of the test dataset plays a central role. In this work, we introduce a test data selection method which combines a self-attention mechanism with K-means clustering (i.e., SAKCL) in a coordinated manner.
Decoding the impact of urban form on energy efficiency in shrinking cities: dynamic evolution, spatiotemporal transitions, and SHAP analysis
Abstract Analyzing the evolutionary patterns and influencing factors of energy efficiency (EE) is of significant importance for ensuring energy security and addressing urban sustainable development. This study, based on data from 159 shrinking cities (SC) in China, employs exploratory spatiotemporal data analysis to investigate the dynamic evolution and spatialtemporal transitions of EE.
Pentose phosphate pathway fuels cGAS-STING signalling to boost function of intratumoral conventional dendritic cells
|
Abstract Tumors employ diverse mechanisms to impair conventional dendritic cell (cDC) function within the tumor microenvironment, yet the underlying processes remain unclear. Here, we demonstrate that pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) reduction in late-stage intratumoral cDCs compromises their function. Both pharmacological and genetic inhibition of the PPP attenuate cDC-mediated antitumor responses. Conversely, PPP augmentation restores late-stage intratumoral cDC antitumor capacity.

Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Electrocatalytic carbon–sulfur (C–S) coupling from polyols offers an efficient route for synthesizing value-added organosulfur compounds under mild conditions. Despite some existing results, their performance, including carbon selectivity and Faradaic efficiency (FE), is far behind what is expected for practical application, especially from biomass-derived mixed polyols.

Interlayer confinement toward short hydrogen bond network construction for fast hydroxide transport
Abstract Driven by boosting demands for sustainable energy, highly conductive hydroxide exchange membranes (HEMs) are urgently required in electrochemical conversion devices. The hydrogen bonds shorter than 2.5 angstrom are expected to accelerate the ion transport. However, short hydrogen bonds (SHBs) can hardly form naturally because of the electron-withdrawing capability of O atom, which impedes its applications in water-mediated ion transport.

1. Introduction p97, also known as valosin-containing protein (VCP), belongs to the AAA+ (ATPase associated with various cellular activities) ATPase family []. p97 is a homohexamer and each subunit contains an N-domain, two ATPase domains (D1 and D2), and a short unstructured C-terminal tail []. The N-domain is flexible and can therefore engage in interactions with varied adaptor proteins, leading to subcellular localization of p97 and the recognition of different substrates [].
