Oxidative base damage to telomeres sensitizes cancer cells to ATR inhibition
Abstract Targeted inhibition of DNA damage response proteins has received significant clinical attention owing to the success of PARP inhibitors. Due to G1/S checkpoint inactivation, cancer cells are reliant on the G2/M checkpoint to cope with elevated DNA replication stress. We demonstrated that a single induction of 8-oxo-guanine at telomeres in cancer cells was sufficient to induce replication stress but was not cytotoxic.
Oxidative-stress-induced telomere instability drives T cell dysfunction in cancer
Main text (Immunity 58, 2524–2540.e1–e5; October 14, 2025) We recently became aware of an error in Figure 2. We noticed that the representative histograms in Figures 2D and 2G were duplicated during final figure formatting. During figure production, we inadvertently copied the DCFDA staining histogram from the analysis software for both Figures 2G and 2D. We have fixed this error by adding the correct representative histogram for CD39 expression in Figure 2G.
