As the Host of “The Ball Washer Podcast” I believe it’s part of my job to play golf courses and share my thoughts and suggestions. As a resident of Michigan, I am spoiled with some great golf courses around the entire state. For this list, I want to focus on the top public golf courses in Livingston County. I have a list of things I considered when ranking the top 5 public golf courses in Livingston County. Right up front, the first thing I look at is spacing on Tee Times.

This is a massive week in the city of Detroit. No matter who you are, you are rooting for the hometown Lions to take out San Francisco in the NFC Championship game this Sunday at 6:30pm. It’s truly hard to see anyone from Detroit picking against the Lions this week. It’s our time! As a city, as a community and as Detroiters! We have been doing the 10k Call the Ball contest on Big Jim’s House every week this season. Getting your picks for each Lions game.

Alright, I have wanted to write this piece for a long time, but I wanted to make sure I had a few good years of living in Howell before I picked my favorite places. I feel like most people focus on the immediate surrounding areas of Detroit and don’t like to look out in the burbs for a good place to eat. Howell is about an hour from the city of Detroit and in my opinion has some of the best food in Michigan.
