A Millville mother’s quick thinking saved her 3-year-old son from a Saturday-morning house fire, according to a family member. Newell Branin Jr., the father of Katelyn Hatfield, detailed the fire in a Facebook post. Katelyn Hatfield “woke to a loud noise” around 4 a.m. and checked the camera in her son Jack’s room, according to Branin. “She checked on Jack’s camera and everything seemed OK. But, something told her to investigate,” Branin said.

I started off as a guest writer at my college newspaper and made my way up to feature editor by the end of the academic year.

No, and I don't plan on it. At least not for professional use. Maybe for fun, who knows.

How is social media changing news?

It's made journalism a two-way street between journalists and citizens. It compels journalists to develop many different digital media skills.
