My first staff job as a journalist was news editor at a large Toronto urban paper called eye, which was the first in North America to publish on the Internet.
How is social media changing news?
Social media — when used correctly — opens up the news process and makes it a collaboration and conversation with the former audience.

E-mail. Use the subject line well. Put key details in the first 3 sentences.
