I was a news writer for my college newspaper.

Every anti-war activist

Why did you become a journalist?

To cover social movements that mainstream media is often hostile to.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Follow your conscience, unionize with other media workers, and use that collective power against biased editorial lines.

What's your favorite drink?

Coffee

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Reading a book or attending a protest.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I prefer a variety of audience-funded outlets such as Democracy Now! and Truthout. I also regularly read a range of foreign policy outlets.
