Nov. 18—MITCHELL — The deteriorating traffic lights along Seventh Avenue and Main Street could be replaced at a more feasible cost, as the Mitchell City Council will consider awarding a bid on Monday to replace the lights. City officials are recommending the council to approve a $290,011 bid submitted by a local company, Muth Electric. The bid is roughly half the amount of the first bid that the council entertained in April.

Nov. 4—MITCHELL — A Mitchell business owner who was using his Davison County property to operate a towing company and store equipment was granted a conditional use permit with several contingencies aimed at cleaning up the property. Heading into Monday's Mitchell City Council meeting, the eight-person governing body was under the assumption Josh Frost was applying for a conditional use permit to continue operating his towing business at his property.
