Samantha Riedel’s Biography

Samantha Riedel is a freelance journalist and essayist from the Northeast U.S. Since graduating from Binghamton University with a degree in writing and poetry in 2012, Samantha has written about transgender and LGBTQ+ issues for numerous print and digital publications, including Publishers Weekly, Bitch Magazine, Vice, The Establishment, The Huffington Post, and McSweeney's Internet Tendency, as well as the 2019 essay anthology BURN IT DOWN (ed. Lilly Dancyger). From 2015 to 2016, she also worked as an editor and social media manager for The Mary Sue.

Since 2022, Samantha has been a contributing writer for Them.us, writing daily news coverage and cultural features. Her fiction debut will come someday.
