SALISBURY, Md. - The City of Salisbury announced road closures for the Maryland Folk Festival, as well as a new program for adults 21 and older. The Maryland Folk Festival is scheduled for Sept. 19-21 in the downtown area. The festival features the music, dancing, food, and culture of the state's traditions. This year, they are also implementing T.A.P.S. program.

Upcoming lane closures announced in Lewes

LEWES, Del. - The Delaware Department of Transportation announced upcoming lane closures in Sussex County. DelDOT says there will be lane closures in Lewes along the southern portion of Mulberry Knoll Road (east of Rt. 24) for paving operations. Work is expected to start on Monday, Sept. 22 through mid-October. DelDOT is reminding drivers to use caution in and around work areas and to plan for minor delays.

Lewes man arrested for home improvement fraud

LEWES, Del. - A Sussex County man was arrested for home improvement fraud on Sept. 11. Delaware State Police say they started investigating 63-year-old Jeffrey Brower on Sept. 2 for home improvement fraud. DSP say troopers learned that Brower had signed a contract in October 2024 with a 66-year-old victim to do HVAC work. Brower was paid $7,000 by the victim, but the work was never started. The victim was not reimbursed the $7,000. DSP say Brower was arrested on Sept. 11 after turning himself in.
