Sourcing, researching, and writing articles for RichSingleMomma.com

Yes. Back in the olden days when I worked my first summer job in the 80s
How is social media changing news?
It is a more raw, honest news source with real people sharing what's happening around them. No filters or edits.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Giving voice to my thoughts and sharing news and information that will enlighten others more.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email and tell me how your story helps my audience first, suggest ways to collaborate, and don't make me come up with the angle.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
For writing I use Google Docs, for research I use Perplexity AI, for video editing I use Descript, and for slide decks I use Gamma.
What's your favorite social network?
Substack
Who do you wish followed you?
Women who are coping with multiple roles with a smile on the outside but are silently screaming for relief. My writing and publication helps.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Keep writing and reading outside of your job. That's where the creativity stays alive.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Mid morning
What's the best pitch you ever got?
It was succinct, had angles related to my audience, and was collaborative.
What's your favorite drink?
Ginger-Honey-Lemon tea
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On my coach binging the latest KDrama series
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
Ironically I read Reddit posts like a publication
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's all about fluff and vapid self care practices that provide temporary relief.
