Colorado ski resort rescues 174 from gondola mishap

DENVER (KDVR) — Over 170 people had to be rescued Saturday after a gondola malfunction at a Colorado resort, a spokesperson confirmed to Nexstar’s KDVR. According to Winter Park Resort, found about 70 miles west of Denver, the mechanical issue happened at 12:15 p.m. The gondola immediately shut down, as the system is designed for safety reasons.

DENVER (KDVR) — The Michelin Guide made a big impression on Denver in 2024, with several of the prestigious publication’s coveted stars and other accolades being awarded to restaurants across the Mile High City. And, as it turns out, a Denver dish made a big impression on one of Michelin’s inspectors. The guide announced Wednesday that a dish at Alma Fonda Fina, which earned its first Michelin star in 2024, was named one of the Michelin Guide Inspectors’ 13 favorite dishes of this year.

1 arrested for shooting in downtown Denver, 1 injured Original

DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Police Department said one person was arrested in connection to a shooting downtown that sent one person to the hospital early Sunday morning. The shooting happened in the area of the 1600 block of Champa Street. One victim was located and taken to the hospital. Later, police said a suspect was arrested for the shooting. No additional information is available.
