This is what the Burnside Bridge could look like in an earthquake. Multnomah County has decided to retrofit or replace it. Process started in 2016, bridge projected to be finished by 2028
Multnomah County has decided they aren't going to leave the 92-year-old Burnside Bridge as is, and will do something to get it earthquake ready. Now: picking between replacing or extensively retrofitting. This process started two years ago. 
Update: Neighbor of dog sent by #UnitedAirlines to Japan says dog 'Irgo' is in Japan, and normally would have to be quarantined for 30 days but received exemption and will be shipped back soon
