Colorado Springs intersection to be closed for water valve repair project

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Repairs on an underground water main will temporarily shut down the Galley Road and Potter Drive intersection. Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) stated that the intersection will be closed from all directions from Aug. 4 to Aug. 7. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes while the work is taking place. CSU appreciates its customers' patience and understanding as they complete the repairs.

Hinterland Music Festival to celebrate tenth year

But since 2015, a small town about 30 minutes outside of Des Moines has been the home of the Hinterland Music Festival. The event normally brings in around 25,000 people a day to the town of Saint Charles, a number that is greater than the population of its home county as a whole.

Roni’s Mac Bar, a restaurant best known for its customizable mac and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches, is opening in Ames. The restaurant was founded by a husband and wife team in Waco, Texas, and its Ames location will be at 2702 Lincoln Way in the storefront that used to house Big Acai Bowl. “My wife and I had a lot of experience with restaurants beforehand, and then we opened up our own dessert shop,” CEO Frank Senese said. “So we started that… and there was an open [unit] beside us.
