However, one Huntsville attorney warns that those conversations may not be private and could even surface in court. Huntsville attorney Mark McDaniel said every week he sees clients bring in answers they gathered from ChatGPT for their case. “They say, ‘Oh, by the way, we saw this on AI, thought it might help,’” McDaniel said.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Four years after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and ended the right to an abortion, the impacts are still unfolding across Alabama. The court’s 2022 ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization allowed states to enforce their own abortion laws. In Alabama, it immediately triggered the Human Life Protection Act, creating a near-total ban. Clinics stopped providing abortions in the state, forcing patients to seek care elsewhere.

As summer break begins, Madison County nonprofit steps up gun violence prevention outreach

With students out for summer break, one Madison County nonprofit said it’s using the season to push prevention-focused conversations with children and teens. The Jarrod Michael Lockett Foundation works to prevent gun violence through mentoring, education and community outreach. Founder Justin Lockett started the nonprofit after someone shot and killed his brother in 2012.
