By Sarah Rahal The Detroit News The state of Michigan has awarded $80,000 to rehab and conduct archaeological documentation of a home in Inkster where civil rights leader and Black nationalist Malcolm X lived in the early 1950s. Led by the nonprofit Project We Hope, Dream, and Believe, the house, located at 4336 Williams Street, will be transformed into a museum to focus on the life and significance of Malcolm X and his advocacy. It also will be turned into a youth learning center.
