Sarah Samuel-Ayyash’s Biography

Hi,

I'm an internationally published Canadian freelance writer/reporter based in Toronto. I bring a flair for breaking news, investigative analyses, visual storytelling, op-eds/columns and feature articles. My work has appeared in Canadian and American publications, including Ricochet Media, THIS magazine, Canadian Arab Institute, The Hoser, Vice Media, the Review of Journalism, On The Record, CJRU, The Oshawa Express and The Chronicle.

Previously, I've worked in the broadcast realm at Rogers TV-Durham and 680 News Toronto (CityNewsTO), and as a fact-checker at CTV News Channel.

Currently, I am preparing for my PhD while working as an interdisciplinary graduate research assistant exploring the limits of Generative AI(Gen-AI) with respect to Journalism and Ethics at the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science housed at the Toronto Metropolitan University, where I am employed as a dept. assistant as well.
