I started out as an editorial intern at 680 News (CityNewsTO), in Toronto.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To tell people's stories. And if a need arises, hold the authorities accountable by speaking truth to power.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
MS Suite, AdobeSuite, Google Suite, Canva, Infogram etc.
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram (creative pursuits), Twitter (news and pitches) and Facebook (connecting with family/friends).
Why did you become a journalist?
To amplify marginalized communities' cause/voice.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Do independent research. If you think you know "enough" about a topic based on legacy media coverage, then, read and research some more.
What's your favorite drink?
Coffee in all its variations.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the gym: working out, on the balcony: reading, in the storeroom: doing some interior décor, or visiting my niece and nephews.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Many people would categorize or dismiss the Art and Culture beat as "fluff."
