Banana plugs with Onkyo?
Yes they just plug into the center holes you see in that picture. But most banana plugs just screw clamp on the end of the bare wires anyways and then plug into the reciever so I don't see how that is going to address the oxidation issue. Oxidation should really be of no concern though as I haven't experienced any issues in 10+ years of use with some wires. And so what if you have to clip and restrip every 10 years big deal and that's even if you have to do it.
Building a Culture of Voice and Agency for Aboriginal Children in Out‐of‐Home Care: A Review of Policy in New South Wales and Victoria
1 Introduction and Background In traditional Western cultures there has been a belief that children ought to be compliant rather than engaged in conversation and decision making (Ansell 2016; Lines et al. 2022). While this philosophy makes things easier from the perspectives of adults, we know that a lack of engagement with children as a crucial stakeholder group has led to deficits in service design and provision (Grace et al. 2024).
2D to 3D Bluray players
I've finally moved from 1080p (2007 - 2018) to 4K/3D with the purchase of what is probably the last TV with 4K and 3D still available new at retail (Sony Z9D). I'm trying to grow my 3D movie collection but the movies I want to watch in 3D, I already own in the standard Bluray format. I don't want to own multiple copies of the same movie. So I was thinking of buying a used Bluray player which does 2D to 3D conversion. But I have a few questions. 1.
Down and Out Mount vs MantelMount vs ??
Putting aside any existing biases about whether a TV should go over a fireplace, do any forum members have experience with either of these products? They seem fairly similar. The Down and Out mount appears to move the TV further down (32" vs 24"). But I haven't found many objective or reputable reviews of either product. Is anyone familiar with either product's ease of use, durability, etc etc? Any other similar products I'm not considering? Thank you!

Using HDFury devices to manage CIH
You hit the first implementation issue there - unlike the JVC macros which were originally specifically requested and implemented for JVC projectors to overcome their HDR issues, the issue of AR automation is much broader and the hardware to which it will interface varied so the answer would perhaps be for the HDFury to simply issue an AR status string in some form or other - maybe user definable as the current macros are.
Gwałtowna Euforia, by Man Fear
Man Fear are TRSSX, now based between London and Glasgow, and Joey Desktop, currently in NYC. Gwałtowna Euforia (Polish for Violent Euphoria) was recorded in Ridgewood, NY in 2016-17 and is the first 12" release on UK/Poland based label Wodawater. It may have been the Polish roots that brought Man Fear together - after all they met in Chicago, perhaps the second largest Polish city after Warsaw.
Hushbox Shelf Design
Joined Mar 28, 2002 · 2,115 Posts Discussion Starter · #1 · 2 h ago I recognize this is a common topic and that I should be able to search for an answer instead of post, but search on this forum is not useful anymore. Can anyone point to builds threads with lots of hushbox detail? Looking to mount my JVC RS540 in a shelf/hushbox combo, probably not fully sealed, but hoping for the best.
Switching to a smaller room
Joined Mar 28, 2002 · 2,026 Posts Discussion Starter · #1 · a moment ago Long time lurker, first time builder of a single-purpose room. I have had two theaters, both open to other spaces and not as perfectly tuned as I would like. I am looking to build a more permanent installation and have spent a lot of time planning for a larger room in my house that we have now agreed would be better not to alter, which leaves me with a smaller space.

Ghost assets can haunt companies for years
Companies doesn’t need to be haunted by ghost assets. And yes, ghost assets are very real and can have a scary impact on the bottom line. What is a ghost asset, you ask? Well, it’s a fixed asset in a general ledger that cannot be accounted for because it is physically missing or otherwise rendered unusable.
Indigenous people with disability have a double disadvantage and the NDIS can't handle that
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) began a full national rollout in July 2016 with a fundamental objective to give those with a disability choice and control over their daily lives. Participants can use funds to purchase services that reflect their lifestyle and aspirations. Two years on, how is the scheme faring? Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with severe disability face many barriers to fully accessing the support offered by the NDIS.
DeSantis' The Speed-Lite Holster
Due to an escalation in societal violence, the need for armed, law-abiding citizens appears to be increasing. My grandfather would never have dreamed of needing personal protection while attending Sunday church service, but that mindset is reasonable by many right now. As a full-time police officer, I prefer to carry a firearm off-duty that closely resembles my issued sidearm, which I’ve trained with and feel comfortable handling while under stress.
Review: Blackhawk Epoch Holster
The Blackhawk Epoch duty holster delivers Level 3 firearm retention while accommodating Streamlight TLR-1 and TLR-2 and SureFire X300 and X300 Ultra pistol-mounted lights. It is currently available for full-size Glock and Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm and .40 S&W models. In addition to its tension screw adjustment, two other forms of retention must be deactivated before the pistol can be removed.
