Jeff Bridges is one of the greats. The absolute greats. Performance breaks your heart. Redemption is not a straight road. May not even be a way back. But hitting the road anyway and driving as far as you can and knowing that’s all you can do — special. If you knew there was 0 chance at redemption, would try anyway? Can’t imagine most would. (Colin Farrell’s Tommy was was under utilized, the relationship between the two of them was super raw and genuinely interesting, wish it had been explored more.)
