What was your first job as a journalist?
When I started writing news for gotgame.com and also got to go to E3 2009 as well.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes I have because my Grandparents had one.
How is social media changing news?
Social media has made news even more timely than it used to be. You can get the information on what's actually happening immediately now.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email. But also text or call works too.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
The websites I write for use Wordpress CMS. I also use Streamyard for the video recording. Have to know how to edit videos too.
What's your favorite social network?
It used to be Twitter (or now called X) but it is quickly becoming Bluesky now.
Who do you wish followed you?
More industry people, especially game devs. Not just getting follows from some gaming PR people.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love writing and I wanted to be able to express in that in a way that could help people more directly.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Make sure that you are truly passionate about journalism because the money you need to survive may never come. Journalism is all passion.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Our beat is playing video games all day. This is only a small part of it. The rest is writing, editing, capturing, and other, less fun things.
