Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver malignant disease and the fourth most common tumor worldwide [1], [2], [3]. Besides, the prognosis of HCC is very poor and the 5-year relative survival rate is approximately 12 % [4], [5], [6]. Notably, HCC as a noninflamed tumor infiltrated with extensive immunosuppressive cells and heavily lacked cytotoxic T lymphocytes, which limited the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in HCC patients [1], [4], [7].
