According to the Desloge Police Department, two individuals are in custody related to the remains of a child found Wednesday in a rural, wooded area of the Stookey Township in Illinois. 32-year-old Ronnell Marquese Jones and 35-year-old Kirstie Dora, both of St. Louis, are being held without bond and facing kidnapping and harassment charges. According to charging documents, in June a mother contacted law enforcement saying she has not seen her child since April of 2024.

St. Louis City is one step closer to regulating data centers. An Aldermanic committee approved a bill regulating the quickly emerging industry. Included in the requirement: clean energy mandates. Alderwoman Anne Schweitzer tells KMOX data centers will be required to utilize a certain percentage of clean energy to operate or fund clean energy projects through credits from day one.

The FBI St. Louis office is warning about a new scam. The scam involves tricking the victims to contact the scammers through pop ups or text messages and convincing them to hand over cash or gold and silver to a courier who will show up at their home and take it for safe keeping from the government. FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Joe Weston says these scams are layered and elaborate and keep up with trends in order to to convince their victims.
