What's your favorite social network?
My favorite social network will always be Facebook. I’ve been on it since day one, and it’s where Nerdtropolis was born long before it became a full entertainment site. That community grew to more than 90,000 followers, and it’s where I first realized so many other people loved movies, TV, and pop culture the same way I did. It’s still the place where I see the strongest engagement, the best conversations, and the most loyal followers — so it’ll always feel like home base.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist because I grew up obsessed with movies, TV, and pop culture, and I wanted to make that world feel as accessible and fun for others as it always felt for me. As a kid, I’d literally walk to the store to buy a VHS of the newest release, watch it, and then write my own “reviews” before I even knew what journalism really was. That passion never went away — it just evolved.
For me, journalism is storytelling with purpose. I love breaking down why something works (or doesn’t), celebrating the people who make the stuff we love, and giving fans a place where they feel seen, included, and energized. That’s why I started Nerdtropolis in the first place: to build a home for fellow fans, highlight exciting projects, champion creators, and share conversations that go deeper than the usual press-tour soundbites.
At the end of the day, I’m a journalist because I genuinely enjoy informing, engaging, and entertaining people, and because pop culture has given me so much that I feel compelled to give something back.
