This house designed by Mario Romano is anything but ordinary. With rounded edges, an atypical shape, and giant pieces of white aluminum as the facade, the building is meant to evoke the shape of a wave, hence the name Wave House. Located in Los Angeles, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house spans 5,700 square feet. The house’s two outdoor spaces are separated from the interior by nine-foot-tall sliding glass walls, further emphasizing the feelings of openness and space.

At the Eurocucina show of this year’s Salone del Mobile, Milanese fashion house Dolce & Gabbana just unveiled the latest additions to its collaboration with Italian appliance manufacturer Smeg. The series, called “Sicily Is My Love,” now includes two versions of the Victoria Range and Hood, a “fiery red and orange” one inspired by Silician puppet theater, and a blue-and-white one inspired by a majolica print.
