Instead, the Community Mental Health Act would fund clinics so that people with mental health issues and addiction could receive help right in their own communities. Less than a month later, Kennedy was tragically assassinated in Dallas. And, sadly, his goal never came to pass.

Most people’s lives have been turned upside down by coronavirus.
Democratic U.S. Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters of Michigan want federal regulators to determine whether Enbridge Inc., the company operating twin oil pipelines in the Straits of Mackinac, has violated safety requirements. Stabenow and Peters asked the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration on Tuesday to investigate recent disclosures about damage to protective coating on the pipelines. Enbridge said coating is missing in a number of spots, although there have been no leaks.
