Abstract Despite substantial progress, developing wound dressing that simultaneously address infection, oxidative stress, and tissue regeneration remains an active area of research. To address these concerns, we report the development of semi-interpenetrating hydrogel network comprised of polyacrylamide and chitosan, synthesized via a one-pot free radical polymerization. To enhance the therapeutic efficacy, hydrogel was loaded with polyaniline and retinyl palmitate.

Decellularized xenograft heart valves are promising biomaterials due to their advantages, such as reduced immunogenicity, abundant resources, and natural histoarchitecture, which are important for tissue engineering. Although clinical research on decellularized xenograft valves continues, a successful product has not been developed yet. This review compares the in vivo and in vitro findings of decellularized porcine and sheep heart valves to highlight the correct source of xenografts.
