Shamsuddin Illius is a Chittagong in Bangladesh-based investigative journalist specializing in business, corruption, Rohingya refugees, migration, climate change, and environmental issues.
Illius, the former Chittagong Bureau Chief at The Independent, has been working as Chittagong Bureau Chief at The Business Standard.
He also writes for different international media. The Earth Journalism Network story grantee is a fellow of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Journalism Fellowship 2018, Alumni of Thomson Reuters Foundation reporting on Migration.
