Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. The sound of a typewriter hypnotizes me. I actually have a typewriter app so when I type on my phone, it sounds like a typewriter.

Ellen DeGeneres.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I served as a reporter for two years before becoming editor-in-chief of Franklin Community High School's Electron news publication.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Write every story as if it's above the fold on A1.

What's your favorite drink?

Being a journalist, you'd expect me to say coffee. Sweet tea is where it's at.
