The Minnesota Timberwolves’ magical season has come to a close via a crushing blowout defeat in front of their home crowd to conclude the Western Conference Finals. The Dallas Mavericks came into Game 5 with their eyes set on closing out the series and did just that. Luka Doncic dominated the game from start to finish. The Slovenian superstar single-handedly outplayed the entire cast of Timberwolves. Doncic poured in 20 first-quarter points compared to just 19 points Minnesota mustered.

The Minnesota Timberwolves came into Tuesday night’s Game 4 with their backs up against the wall. Down 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals, a sweep seemed imminent. Not only did the Wolves need a win to extend their season, they needed to pull it off on the road. The Timberwolves reigned supreme in Game 4 with an impressive win over the Dallas Mavericks. A strong first quarter gave the Timberwolves a strong lead to work with.

After dropping the first two games of the Western Conference Finals at home, the Minnesota Timberwolves needed a road win in Game 3. The Dallas Mavericks and their raucous crowd sought out to take a massive 3-0 series lead. A big story for the Timberwolves coming into the game was the performance of both Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns. Edwards rose to the occasion on Sunday night.
