Deciphering agricultural and forest litter decomposition: Stage dependence of home-field advantage as affected by plant residue chemistry and bacterial community - Plant and Soil
Abstract The ‘home-field advantage’ (HFA) hypothesis posits that plant litters decompose faster in their native habitat than elsewhere. Uncovering the mechanisms of HFA effect during litter decomposition is crucial for understanding ecosystem nutrient cycling and carbon budgeting. We investigated HFA effect in agricultural and forest ecosystems through a two-year reciprocal transplant field experiment in a temperate region, using post-harvest maize straw and mixed forest litter.

Effect of bending deformation on the electronic and optical properties of O atoms adsorbed by Be3N2 - Journal of Molecular Modeling
Abstract In this paper, the optimum coverage of 4.44% and the optimum adsorption sites were determined for the Be3N2 adsorption system of O atoms at different coverages based on density functional theory. The electronic and optical properties of the model were investigated by applying bending deformation to the model at these coverage and adsorption sites. Adsorption of O atoms disrupts the geometrical symmetry of Be3N2, resulting in orbital rehybridization and lowering its band gap.
Generation of complete graph states in a spin-1/2 Heisenberg chain with a globally optimized magnetic field
Graph states possess significant practical value in measurement-based quantum computation, with complete graph states that exhibit exceptional performance in quantum metrology. In this work, we introduce a method for generating multiparticle complete graph states using a spin-1/2 Heisenberg XX chain subjected to a time-varying magnetic field, which applies to a wide range of systems.

First-principles study of the electronic structure and optical properties of C-doped SnS2 - Journal of Molecular Modeling
Abstract Density functional theory (DFT) was used to investigate the effects of varying carbon doping concentrations on the electronic and optical properties of SnS2-doped systems. The findings show that a doping concentration of 3.7% in SnS2 results in the highest structural stability and the lowest formation energy. A pure SnS2 monolayer is an indirect bandgap semiconductor, and the result reveals that increasing carbon doping correlates with a gradual reduction in the system’s bandgap.
The effect of background information and motion speed on the performance of TTC estimation - BMC Psychology
The study found that different background dimensions had difference in the constant error, although the accuracy of the TTC in the two background dimensions did not show statistical differences. However, compared to the two-dimensional background, the three-dimensional background condition tended to overestimate the TTC more and tended to delay the keystroke response.

First-principles study on the mechanical properties of cement mortar modified with functionalized graphene oxide - Journal of Molecular Modeling
Abstract In this paper, first-principle calculations reveal that the shear strength of the graphene-cementitious interface (G/C-S–H) (12 MPa) is lower than that of the epoxy, hydroxyl and carboxyl graphene-cementitious interfaces (G-O/C-S–H, G-OH/C-S–H and G-COOH/C-S–H) (21 MPa, 29 MPa and 14 MPa). This indicates that the introduction of functional groups helps to improve the mechanical properties of the graphene-cementitious contact interface.

Effect of strain on the electronic structure and optical properties of Cr-doped monolayer MoS2 - Journal of Molecular Modeling
Abstract In this paper, the electronic and optical properties of Cr-doped monolayer MoS2 under uniaxial tensile strain are investigated by first-principle calculations. It is shown that uniaxial tensile strain can significantly change the electronic and optical properties of Cr-doped monolayer MoS2, and the bandgap value of the intrinsic MoS2 system gradually decreases with the increase of tensile strain, while the bandgap value of the Cr-doped MoS2 system is relatively stable.
A physics investigation on impedance matching theory in microwave absorption film-Part I. Theory
IM is designed to explain the minimum peaks of RL/dB by Zin = Z0 while QWM is closely related to IM and purports to explain a set of related minima of |RL| in that the associated values of d and ν for each peak are defined as matching thickness and frequency, respectively.27 However, the QWM is flawed because the phase effects from interfaces are ignored5,22 and the theory should be replaced by an inverse relationship.10 An intuitive analysis is provided in SM3.
