Sheri Quinn Gibbs started her radio career in Salt Lake City, UT in 1999 after being inspired by Fresh Air and Car Talk in the desert of eastern Washington, documenting one of most polluted areas in the U.S (Hanford nuclear waste facility). Radio seemed a less cancer causing path and science radio was nearly non existent at the time so Quinn blasted the Utah airwaves with science.

Judge says legislative immunity doesn't shield Ellsworth from prosecution

A district court judge denied Montana State Sen. Jason Ellsworth’s claims that legislative immunity shields him from prosecution in a corruption case. Ellsworth, a Republican from Hamilton and former Senate president, was charged last year with official misconduct for awarding two no-bid state contracts to a longtime friend. Ellsworth’s defense attorneys filed motions to dismiss the charge, mostly citing legislative immunity.
